Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on Codexs are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission. You pay exactly the same price you would pay going direct.

Which links these are

At the time of writing, the affiliate relationship we have is with Hostinger, the hosting company, and it is disclosed on the homepage where that link appears.

As the site grows we expect to add others — software and AI tools we already use and would recommend regardless. Whenever that happens, the link is marked where it appears, not only here. If you are reading an article and cannot tell whether a link is an affiliate link, assume it might be and check this page.

What we are not

Being an affiliate is not the same as being an official partner, agent or reseller. We are an independent publisher who signed up to a public affiliate programme. We do not speak for the companies we link to, we cannot resolve their support issues, and we have no special access to their systems.

How we decide what to recommend

The order is always the same: is this the right tool for the reader, and only then, is there an affiliate programme.

  • We do not recommend something purely because it pays a commission.
  • We do not remove a better option because it has no affiliate programme. Plenty of what we recommend — including most free tools — pays us nothing.
  • We state the limits and the downsides of anything we link to. A recommendation with no caveats is usually an advertisement.
  • If the honest answer is that you do not need to buy anything, that is what the article says.

Cash back offers

Where we offer cash back for buying through our link, that is us sharing part of our commission with you. It is paid by Codexs, not by the merchant, and the terms are stated wherever the offer appears. If an offer is unclear, ask before you buy rather than after.

Prices and terms change

Pricing, plan limits and affiliate terms move frequently. We check before publishing and update when we notice a change, but the merchant’s own site is always the authority. Confirm the current price there before you buy.

Questions

If you would rather not use an affiliate link, go to the merchant directly — it costs you nothing and we would rather you buy the right thing. Questions about any of this: see the contact page.
